What a Masked Lead Preview Shows
Before you pay, the lead page is a masked preview. You can judge the line of business, the location, a cut-down phone and email, freshness, and the price. The full name, the full phone, the full email, and the street address stay locked until checkout is confirmed.
What you can judge without paying
The preview is enough to drop a lead that is the wrong state, the wrong line, or the wrong vehicle. It is not enough to call the person.

What is on the card
The preview is the lead page before payment. The title carries the state and whether the inquiry is auto or home. Under that you get the city, the state, and the ZIP. The street address is not in that line. You also see when the lead was added, a freshness label, the shared price, and whether an exclusive path is still open.
The phone is partly hidden. You see the area code and the last four digits. The middle is replaced, in the form (214) ***-4821. That example is the pattern only. It is not a lead. The email is partly hidden the same way: the first character, then stars, then the domain, in the form j***@example.com. The domain comes from the lead. The rest of the mailbox name does not.
On an auto lead, the card can show a vehicle line: year, make, model, and trim, when the consumer submitted them. If they did not, that line is simply absent. Home leads do not invent a vehicle. The depth of any later profile also depends on what was submitted, not on a fixed form you should expect every time.
What stays locked
The person’s name is not on the preview. The full phone number and the full email address are not on it either. You cannot dial the lead from the masked page, and you should not treat the visible area code and last four as a way to guess the rest.
The street, when the consumer submitted one, unlocks with the order, together with driver details, the insurance profile, and the rest of the quote request. Confirmed payment is what opens that. A preview, a screenshot, or a free test card does not.
Use the mask to drop bad fits before you spend. If the ZIP is outside the states you write, or the vehicle is one your carriers will not take, leave the card. If you are still learning the layout, free test leads show the same mask without a paid unlock. The amount on a paid card is explained on pricing.
Preview and unlock
State and line, city, state, ZIP, area code plus the last four digits, the first character and domain of the email, a vehicle line on auto when it was submitted, freshness, the price, and whether exclusive is offered.
Full name, full phone, full email, street address when it was submitted, and the driver, insurance, and quote details that came in with the lead.
How to read a card before you buy
- Match the state and the line. Auto and home are the only lines on this marketplace.
- Read the partial contact. Area code and email domain tell you the shape of the lead. They do not give you the person.
- Check the vehicle on auto. Year, make, and model are enough to reject a unit you cannot write.
- Then look at the path and the price. Shared and exclusive amounts are on the lead. The rules are on pricing. If you are not ready to pay, use free test leads.
Where the preview sits in the order
The preview is step one of a first order, not a substitute for it. Once the card fits, you still choose a path. Shared auto seats stop at 3 buyers and shared home seats stop at 2, which is spelled out on shared lead slots. Exclusive is one buyer, and only when that path is still offered.
Open a live card in the marketplace when you want current inventory. The examples on this page are format only. They are not for sale, and they are not a sample file.
Questions buyers ask
Is the phone number on the preview real?
The area code and the last four digits come from the lead. The middle digits are hidden.
Is the email real?
The first character and the domain come from the lead. The rest of the mailbox name is hidden.
Can I see the person’s name before I pay?
No. The name unlocks after payment is confirmed.
Can I see the street address?
No. City, state, and ZIP are the location on the preview. The street, when it was submitted, unlocks with the order.
Does every auto lead show a vehicle?
Only when the consumer submitted year, make, model, or trim. The line is omitted when that data is missing.
